The 7th Regular Meeting of China-Serbia Mixed Committee on Economy and Trade was successfully convened in Beijing on Nov 13, 2007. The Serbian government delegation for economy and trade headed by Minister of Economy was present at the meeting.

The two sides reviewed the situation of bilateral economy and trade and exchanged views on issues of common interest as well as further development of economic and trade cooperation. The Serbian side expressed its hope of achieving the projects invested by the Chinese enterprises and carrying out cooperative production on automobile and electronic products, which shall be exported to its neighboring countries, and as a result, the pressure of Serbia’s constant high trade deficit in the bilateral trade can be gradually alleviated. The Chinese side expressed that it shall encourage the Chinese enterprises with proper conditions to conduct feasible cooperative projects in Serbia and try to enlarge its import from Serbia.

During its visit to China, the Serbian delegation toured around some economic development zones and industrial parks with an extremely deep impression left by China’s rapid economic growth and achievements.
