The grim situation of unmarketable navel orange in China's Jiangxi Province, which was caused by the blizzard and ensuing crippled traffic and massive power failure before the Spring Festival, has been effectively eased. Over the past week, 17,300 tons of Gannan navel orange had been sold in accumulation, mostly to Guangdong, Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Shandong, etc. with the inventory reduced from 160,600 tons on Feb. 5 to 143,300 tons on Feb. 11.

Under the joint efforts of MOFCOM and the competent commercial departments of Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Shenzhen and other provinces, municipalities and cities, as well as the cooperation of related enterprises, the sales volume of Gannan navel orange produced in Jiangxi has gained a gradual increase.
