The ground-breaking ceremony of Chinese assistance project Fiji Navuso Bridge was held on the building site on Apr. 17. Present were about 300 attendees, including Mr. Natuva, minister for Works and Transport of Fiji, chiefs of villages, Fei Mingxing, charge d’affaries ad interim of Embassy of China in Fiji, Chen Daoyun, the economic and commercial counselor, and others concerned. Mr. Natuva spoke highly of Chinese government for its consistent support and assistance and regarded China as the true strategic development partner of Fiji. The project that totaled FJD5m is a non-reimbursable assistance to Fiji by China.
